Ma Siliang,is a multidisciplinary artist whose work interrogates the entangled relationship between technology and visual culture. Utilizing photography, digital imaging, 3D reality, data visualization, and algorithmic images, Ma’s practice investigates how contemporary image technologies reconfigure our visual experiences .His exploration delves into the symbiotic relationship between human agency and algorithmic processes, challenging singular perspectives and resisting the manipulations of “post-ideological” apparatuses. Through his reconfiguration of image technologies, Ma Siliang reveals their performative role, uncovering the ephemeral ecological niches they create within our daily visual experiences.

Ma Siliang holds a BA in Fashion Photography from the University of the Arts London (2007) and an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art (2018). He currently lives and works in Beijing.
