Since the beginning of 2023 , I have been experimenting with a new method of "photography". This is to first record the scene I want to work on (without aesthetics) through 3d scanning, then go back to the computer and enter the digital scene, completing a series of standard photography operations: choose the camera position - focus - composition - lighting - adjust the details - finally press the shutter (click the render button).  The virtual photography function offered in 3D applications is a conditional inheritance of the methodology of photography, declaring aesthetic sovereignty over the observable but waiving the obligation to authenticity. The inaccuracy, uncertainty and imperfection brought by the flaws of amateur 3d scanning technology, are blurring the boundary of signifier and signified, an erroneous mapping or an inaccurate polygon that can point both to the real being and to the technology itself (we are only aware of the technology when it fails)
